Voice Memos is a real audio recorder built entirely on native browser APIs: microphone capture, encoding, live meters and waveform rendering, with IndexedDB doing the storage.
Start, pause, resume, stop and discard are all wired to the real recorder state machine, and the elapsed clock is derived from real timestamps, so it never drifts even in a throttled background tab.
